Nam Prik Ong – Spicy Northern Thai Pork With Tomato

I was introduced to Lobo Nam Prik Ong paste and I received first-hand cooking instruction by the Thai seller.

Ingredients

*1 packet Lobo Nam Prik Ong

*1 tsp minced garlic

*300g minced pork/chicken

*half cup cherry tomatoes, cut in half

*1 tsp fish sauce

*handful of basil

*oil for frying

Method

1. In a frying pan, heat up a little oil then add minced garlic and fry together with the ingredients of one packet Lobo Nam Prik Ong.

2. Add minced pork, cherry tomatoes and fish sauce, stir fry till pork is cooked and tomatoes softened.

3. Put in basil, stir fry for a few seconds and turn off fire. Spoon Nam Prik Ong onto dish and serve with hot rice.
